I gave her the title of my talk about a month ago entitled "Celebrate Life". In researching the talk on Google, I discovered the articles were mainly dealing with the subject of death because of the Celebration of Life memorial services. This reminded me of the passing of one of our own congregants, Eduardo Alvarado. Eduardo was special and unique in so many ways. Take a look at the email I sent out earlier today and you will see what I mean.
We never know when someone in our lives will die or pass away and it creates a void. As Clarence Oddbody said in the movie "It's a Wonderful Life":
" Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?"
Each moment is meant to be savored and enjoyed even in the midst of pain and sorrow. Each person is unique and even if we don't like the way they show up in our lives we can appreciate their presence in our lives which is not coincidental. Life is all about constant change and if we resist the change then we cannot have inner peace.
